I float above the morning
And below the land is green
Beauty you would appreciate
If only you had seen

The plains of Canterbury
With rivers and trees
The wisps of fog
Like a veil to tease

You understand beauty
You embody beauty
You are beauty
Your mind beauty filled

Kaikoura now
With waves and rocks
The mountains snow capped
Nice to take stock

They lay before me
As you once did
A thing of wonder
No part hid

My mind reverts
To experiences had
To times hearts talked
Whilst hand in hand

Thoughts of sharing
The beauty of life
Thoughts of you so clear
My future wife

Yet best is the enemy of good
And must becomes should
Oh to view this wondrous place
With your eyes, peaking out from that beautiful face

My words with such little soul
Meaningless without you to hold
To hold my words and craft them such
To manipulate them with your incredible touch

The river below it twists
On the way to its end
No direct route
Just bend after bend

Our lives run similarly
Reaching towards who we want to be
The power of two
For me I choose you

An email and shot

I know now

Sadly it is never

What is there to desire?

The lovely view
Across the bay
A sad meet
We had that day

Goodbye we said
Goodbye for now
We will meet again
Yet we don’t know how

Memories so strong
Times so fun
Feelings just holding on

Being back is torture
Sad as hell
Here without ya
Oh how we fell

Yet the view
Gives me the clue
The sun sets a hue
To rise again a new

Hope I have
Love I send
For always

How do I let go?
When every song
Bring me back
It seems so wrong

How do I forget?
The great times
Music and dancing
Food and wines

I don’t want to leave
These great feelings
To find something less
Yet my future I’m stealing

I harden my heart
And try a new tack
Then a familiar song
Brings me right back

How do I let go?
Never saying never – nope
While there is breath
There is hope

So I will live
With the happy and the pain
Know you are beside me
With a switch in my brain

As I move about this land
Some things I understand
Added to my being
And now I am seeing

Yet whilst I know the loss is great
And that this route is my fate
I hope one day to learn
What deep inside me makes me yearn

I miss your hand touching mine
I miss your kiss soft and sweet
I miss your words caressing my ears
I miss your thoughts stroking my mind
I miss your love embracing me
I miss you darl
I miss you and me

I have the freedom
I can make the time
Money’s not the problem
And you’re on my mind

To be together
On a common path
To live in harmony
Without breaking hearts

We need to work
At finding us
The new relationship
Better than just now I trust

It takes change
Which I will do
Change to go forwards
Including you

Do we want it
Bad enough to try
Do we need it
Before we die

In the quiet
When minds wander
You fill my thoughts
And I wonder
What more could I
Have done or tried

To avoid this pain

I had it all
Or so I thought
King of the castle
Lord of the fort

Yet frustrations
More than a few
All exposed
When I fell for you

Half a century
Of leading my clan
Giving all
The best that I can

Chasing my dreams
So very few
They had fallen
Fallen from my view

My heart is exclusive
My body is not
